How to Care for Your Sew In Weave

by Scott Marshall May 22, 2017

If you have a curly sew in weave, or know someone who does, then you know its important to take care of the hair. When sleeping, we find it best to pin the hair up in a bun above the head with a scrunchie. When you wake in the morning, simply shake it down and run your fingers through it. To help form the hair, use a spray bottle with water and a little conditioner and spray all of the weave lightly. You can then pull down the hair and form it.

You can also wet the hair in the shower and use a conditioner. Let the conditioner soak in for about five minutes. Then take a wide bristled comb and part your hair into four. Then lightly comb from bottom to top the first section and through to the fourth section.

After combing, rinse the conditioner out of the weave. While the hair is still wet, use Shea Moisture, Coconut & Hibiscus Curling Gel Souffle and lightly coat the weave. After the weave is coated, gently comb it with a paddle brush from the bottom up. Then use Shea Moisture, Coconut & Hibiscus Frizz-Free Curl mouse and run it through all of the weave. After, use Shine Polish Hair polisher, start from the ends and work your way up. Then let your hair dry.

By utilizing this process, you will ensure the longevity and beuty of your Curly Hair Weave
