Want a new look for your kinky curly weave? Here is a great guide that shows how to style kinky curly weave and give your hairstyle a whole new dimension.

I usually focus on a protective style and weave is the best of all. I still remember my mom buying those hair extensions when I was young, and it never matches the natural hair. She often used to heat it.

Nowadays, we have popular brands with various textures, curls, and colors and a much natural look that complements your hair perfectly.

Style Kinky Curly Weave

That being said, here are some cool ways to style your kinky curly weave for a unique touch.

1. Adjusting Your Hair

Start with leaving an inch or two of your hair out, just along the perimeter of your head.

Before you decorate your hair or before putting on the weave, make sure you comb them in horizontal style. Do this along with the hairline. For more styling option, repeat the same process along the side and back of the head.

2. Getting Rid Of Tangles

Next, we will thoroughly comb the hairs to get rid of any tangles. The best way to do this is to use a bit of olive oil. You can also use your hair gel.

Now, twist your hair using cornrow method of styling. This way, you will easily separate the hair you want to leave out from the one that will be decorated with the weave.

3. Defining Your Hair

Using a water sprayer, spray some water on the hairline to get a well-defined twist-out.

Next, decorate your hair properly and add the kinky curly weave. Now comes the difficult part! Styling your weave and matching it with your natural hair. Follow the steps below.

4. Unravelling

This will be done after your hairline is completely dry and then unravel it. This is done to mimic the texture of your kinky curly weave, so it perfectly matches and doesn’t results in mis-match. Needless to say, unraveling is entirely up to you. It gives a well-defined and a kinky look.

You can also finger comb it to make it blend more with the natural style of your hair. You should also remember to leave an inch or two of your hair before decorating. This will make as if it were your natural hair and no kinky curly weave was used.

Verdict

The above styling option works perfectly whether or not you are wearing a curly weave. Even if you have some sort of chemical relaxer on hair, it blends beautifully with the hair texture. Basically, it depends as to how you match your hair with the weave.

For a kinkier style, you have to put more twist-out pulled apart. I would recommend focusing more on blending your hair with the weave.

It’s important to note for those women living in a humid environment to use a styling gel or hair serum with hairspray. This will hold those twist-outs pretty well.

That’s it, fellas. Don’t forget to share it. Let me know if you have any question.
